Who is it for?
This inspiring course is for students with little or no experience in the tarot, and confidence in giving readings is encouraged through watching demonstrations and giving readings to fellow students under supervision.

Paul brings the tarot to life with his humorous and insightful delivery, using anecdotes, real life examples and demonstrations.

Course content
This introductory course covers

• the history of the tarot
• one card readings
• reading with reversed cards for increased clarity
• using intuition when reading
• the Major and the Minor Arcana
• astrology in relation to the tarot (including the lesson for each sign of the zodiac)
• how to word difficult questions for accuracy
• demonstrations and practice sessions
• role play to better understand the major Arcana

Cards Used
We use the Rider Waite® tarot pack and you’ll need to bring a pack with you to the course.

Course notes
The course notes are provided in the form of Paul Fenton-Smith’s book The Tarot Revealed which is included in the course price. This allows each student to focus on the process instead of taking notes continuously. If you already have a copy of The Tarot Revealed, the price can be deducted from the course fees.

Certification
A certificate is granted to those who successfully complete written and practical exams. Exams are optional. We recommend that you complete 50 readings before sitting for exams to avoid disappointment. The first exam sitting is included in the course fee. Exams are by appointment only and can be completed at your leisure.

Course times
Sydney courses are held on three consecutive Sundays, from 10:00 am until 5:30 pm. Morning and afternoon tea is supplied and there is a generous lunch break with many local cafes and take away food suppliers close by.

Repeat offer
When you have completed a course at the Academy you can repeat that course within two years for only A$130. incl GST, subject to available space. This ensures that students have every opportunity to master their chosen subjects at their own pace. (The repeat fee is subject to change without notice).
